Fine Jewelry
Fine jewelry is made from gold, platinum, fine silver, precious stones, semi-precious stones or a combination of these metals and jewels. Obviously fine jewelry is the most expensive category of jewelry as it consists of the rarest stones and purest metals. Diamonds, pearls and birth stones are the most popular precious stones used in this type of jewelry.
Diamonds are graded on a system known as the “4 C’s” to determine the cost of the diamond. The 4 C’s are clarity, color, cut and carat size. Diamonds are one of the most popular and valuable stones available in fine jewelry today, however precious colored gemstones aren’t too far behind.
Rubies, emeralds, sapphires, opals, garnets, and many other rare stones are used as focal points of jewelry to celebrate love, graduation, birthdays, anniversaries, and even just for fun. Each stone has its own unique and stunning color. Pearls, the “organic gems,” are another timeless, classic piece of fine jewelry. Pearls have been harvested and valued for over 4,000 thousand years, and over the course of history, they have never lost their value and beauty.
The metals used in fine jewelry can only be the purest, finest and rarest metals such as fine silver, yellow gold, and platinum. Considering the ingredients used, a true piece of fine jewelry is not cheap, it is, however, something that will be able to cherish for a lifetime.
