Glass Jewelry

Glass jewelry comes in a wide variety of colors and shapes, and can either be made or in some cases found.  Different types of glass will make beautiful unique pieces of jewelry. Sea glass is a rare type of glass that is found, and made into pendants, earrings, bracelets and necklaces. Man made colored glass is either fused or dichroic. 

Sea glass is found on beaches across the world, though it is becoming harder to find. It is made from pieces of glass being haphazardly dropped into the ocean. Over time the ocean turns them into beautifully colored pieces of glass that look more like a gem or stone. The sea glass is collected and shaped into pieces of different colored jewelry.  

Dichroic glass basically means multicolored glass. As the glass is shifted the color changes according to where the light source is, creating truly unique effect. The process of creating this glass was discovered by warm glass artists. Dichotic glass jewelry can be found in forms of pendants, earrings, and necklaces.
