Silver Jewelry

Silver jewelry is one of the most popular fashion accessories, mainly due to its classy look and relatively cheap price. There are many different quality levels of silver for different quality levels of jewelry to fit many different needs and occasions.

Sterling silver is one of the more popular, high quality types of silver and is used frequently in high-end jewelry.  Though sterling silver is a higher quality silver, it does tarnish relatively easy. After wearing it, wipe it clean, place in a plastic baggy and make sure all the air is out before sealing. This will prevent tarnishing. 
  
Fine silver is more expensive, as it contains only trace amounts of other metals, but it won’t tarnish like sterling silver does.  Fine silver jewelry will be marked .999 when it is authentic fine silver. Cheaper silvers don’t look much different from fine silvers from a distance, other than the fact that it may cause skin discoloration. Cheap silver is generally the best way to go when buying jewelry for teenagers and children, who may be more prone to losing it.
